What Is Delta 10 THC?

The widespread availability and subsequent popularity of Delta 8 cannabis products has led to the development of Delta 10 products. While there are numerous similarities between Delta 8 and Delta 10 products, they’re different in a variety of ways. Since synthetic cannabinoids like Delta 8 and Delta 10 THC are legal in Ohio, some people choose to purchase them instead of medical marijuana. People that do choose to use synthetic cannabinoids like Delta 10 instead of actual cannabis don’t reap the full benefits that THC and CBD offer. Additionally, people that choose to purchase synthetic cannabinoids don’t have access to products that are tested and approved for safety and quality. Here are some more facts about Delta 10 THC products.

Delta 10 Is a Synthetic Cannabinoid Similar to Delta 8 THC

Ever since the passage of the 2018 farm bill which legalized hemp production, companies have flooded the market with products derived from hemp. Some of those products include cannabis derivatives like Delta 10 THC. There are numerous ways that Delta 10 THC can be made. In order to produce Delta 10, a manufacturer first extracts CBD from hemp prior to refining it then applies heat and acid to the CBD isolate. This converts it into the psychoactive isomer that it’s sold as. The process of making Delta 8 THC is vastly similar to making Delta 10 THC.

The cannabinoids for Delta 8 and Delta 10 each provide a different experience. It’s important to note that the process of making Delta 10 and Delta 8 THC is highly complex and should only be attempted by professionals with the appropriate equipment. Even though there are similarities between the sensations of medical marijuana and Delta 10 THC, Delta 10 THC still leaves much to be desired.

Delta 10 THC Isn’t as Potent as Medical Marijuana

Even though Delta 10 THC provides patients with a relaxed, calm feeling, there’s a difference between the way Delta 10 THC feels compared to medical marijuana. In fact, some reports claim that Delta 8 THC has more potency than Delta 10 THC. There are probably numerous reasons why that’s the case, but one of the biggest could be due to the CBN content present in Delta 8 which has heavier sedative effects outweighing those of other cannabinoids. Since Delta 10 THC isn’t capable of matching up with Delta 8 THC, using it as a replacement for medical marijuana is likely impossible.

People who have considered using Delta 10 THC as a substitute for medical marijuana have to deal with the fact that there’s a limited amount of Delta 10 THC products to choose from. While most Delta 10 THC products can only be consumed through inhalation, there are numerous products available for sale at medical marijuana dispensaries in Ohio. Those products include edibles, tinctures, topicals and more. All it takes in order to be able to access the medical marijuana products on sale at dispensaries throughout the State is a medical marijuana card.

How to Obtain Medical Marijuana Legally in Ohio
