Tis the season for giving! With Thanksgiving coming up, we want to take this opportunity to thank you, our amazing patients, for your continued support. At OMC, we strive to make our patients feel like family and helping our community is so important to what we do.
In addition to Thanksgiving, November is Family Caregiver Month! We often don’t appreciate enough just how important caregivers are to our patients. In Ohio, a caregiver is an individual that has registered with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy to purchase, possess, and administer medical marijuana to a patient with an active medical marijuana card. Caregivers are vital to helping to support their loved ones get the treatment they deserve.
In honor of this occasion, we will be running a canned food drive for families in need this Thanksgiving. Every patient that brings at least one canned food item from November 1- November 20 to one of our resource centers will receive $25 off their new evaluation or renewal appointment. All donations will be given to each local food bank respectively prior to Thanksgiving.
In addition, a portion of your appointment fee will be donated to Family Caregiver Alliance at the end of the month. For 40 years Family Caregiver Alliance (FCA) has supported and sustained the important work of families and friends nationwide who care for adult loved ones with chronic, disabling health conditions. We are proud to help support this excellent organization.
In order to participate, please drop off all canned goods to our office locations on the days below for each location between the hours of 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.:
Mondays - Beachwood
Tuesdays - Independence
Wednesdays - Columbus & Toledo
Thursdays - Cincinnati & Westlake
Fridays - Akron
Once you drop off the canned goods, you will receive $25 off your new appointment or renewal! We want to thank you again for choosing OMC and for helping us give back to the community this November!
