Ohio Adds 3 New Qualifying Conditions to the List

It is a great day to be an Ohioan! We have some big news coming at you today. Three new qualifying conditions were added to the list for medical marijuana treatment!

At Ohio Marijuana Card, we want to be your to-go medical marijuana card provider and that all starts with the qualifying conditions list. We are so happy and thankful that the Ohio State Medical Board approved more conditions so everyday more Ohioans can get treatment through our services.

This past Wednesday, this qualifying conditions list was increased to 25 conditions with the addition of Huntington’s disease, terminal illness and spasticity. The three conditions will allow for patients in the state who are diagnosed to be able to receive medical marijuana treatment.

Unfortunately with these three being accepted, more conditions were rejected by the board. Autism spectrum disorder, panic disorder, and restless leg syndrome were all rejected and not added to the qualifying conditions list.

Don’t lose hope just yet if your medical condition is not on the qualifying conditions list. It can be soon!

Yearly, the board accepts petitions from the public. This year alone the board received 30 petitions to add 30 new conditions to the list. These petitions must also include evidence that medical marijuana can be used as a treatment and letters of support from doctors. So far this year the board has accepted cachexia and now Huntington’s disease, terminal illness and spasticity.

If you’re looking to get your medical marijuana card, now is your chance! At Ohio Marijuana Card, we can walk you through the entire process.

Don’t wait another day for the relief that you deserve!
