Anxiety and Autism Recommended for Medical Marijuana Treatment in Ohio

As the vote to expand the qualifying conditions of medical marijuana in Ohio this June nears, many wonder what conditions will actually make the cut. Today the Cincinnati Enquirer reported that a committee of the State Board of Medicine has officially recommended anxiety and autism to be included as conditions that can be treated with medical marijuana.

Unfortunately the board rejected the three other possible conditions of depression, insomnia and opioid addiction.

"The medical board originally accepted petitions for new conditions for the first time in November and December 2018. The board received 110 petitions that were narrowed to petitions for five conditions." the Enquirer reported. If you are an Ohioan suffering from one of these 21 medical conditions or anticipate getting treated for anxiety and autism, click here to learn more about what Ohio Marijuana Card's state-certified medical marijuana doctors can do for you, or give us a call at (1-866-457-5559) and our friendly Patient Support team can walk you through the entire process, and set you up with an appointment.
