The Ohio Board of Pharmacy approved a new guideline that will temporarily allow patients to pick up their medical marijuana without having to go into a dispensary or even leave their car.
Due to COVID-19 and the continuation of practicing social-distancing, dispensaries are able to make sales in either the parking lot or on the sidewalk outside of the facility. Medical marijuana transactions through a walk-up or drive-thru window are also permitted.
There are a few guidelines that must be followed with medical marijuana pickups stated by the Board of Pharmacy. Pick-up orders must be reviewed by the patient or caregiver and security personnel must be present during the time of sales that occur outside of the dispensary. Medical marijuana delivery still remains prohibited in Ohio.
